Carnival Celebration Hosts Largest Slot Tournament

Carnival Celebration hosted the cruise line’s second $1M Slot Tournament during the ship’s recent sailing which embarked October 29, 2023 out of Miami, Florida. The event overtook last year’s event as the largest-ever casino competition.

More than 1,600 guests took part in the competition where the top 100 winners of the event earned prizes. On Thursday night, the grand prize winner was awarded $500,000, second place and third place winners took home $150,000 and $50,000 respectively.

“Carnival has a history as an industry leader with our casinos and our $1M Slot Tournament not only exemplifies that, but it celebrates it. Our onboard casinos bring fun and excitement to our Carnival Players Club members on all our ships, and this week has been a great way to bring many of those valued guests together and amplify the enthusiasm,” said Jonathan Lask, Carnival’s vice president of CRM and performance marketing.

Carnival Cruise Line is already making plans for next year. As a matter of fact, the plan is to double the fun. In 2024, the cruise line is planning two $1M Slot Tournaments.

The first event will take place on the new Excel-class Carnival Jubilee. The ship will embark from Galveston, Texas on May 18, 2024. The second event will take place on the first Excel-class ship, Mardi Gras, which will embark from Port Canaveral, Florida on November 2, 2024.

Two competitions are also scheduled for 2025 aboard Carnival Celebration in May and Carnival Jubilee in November
