Virgin Voyages is an adults-only, cruise line that invites Sailors and their First Mates to rediscover and embrace their inner child. The cruise line is owned by and was created in collaboration with Sir Richard Branson, owner of Virgin Group, and Bain Capital.
Virgin Voyages is a fleet of three, with a fourth on the way. Each Lady–Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady (coming September 2025)–can carry 2,770 Sailors and First Mates and weighs in at 110,000 gross tons. Across their 17 decks, they feature 1,330 cabins and 78 suites. Cruise fare aboard a Virgin Voyages Lady includes dining at more than 20 restaurants, gratuities, non-alcoholic beverages, basic WiFi, fitness classes and entertainment. There are some specialty foods, drinks, and entertainment that have an additional fee.
Each Virgin Voyages Lady features more than 20 eateries. The menus are curated by Michelin-starred chefs and include steak & seafood at The Wake, casual dining at Razzle Dazzle, and red hot Mexican at Pink Agave. Sailors can indulge in Korean BBQ, Irresistible Italian, pizza, ice cream and so much more. Sailors will not find a buffet or large dining hall.
The Ladys also feature various bars and lounges. Sailors can enjoy cocktails at On the Rocks, champagne at Sip or a frozen drink at the pool bar, The Aquatic Club. The Dock offers cocktails with the perfect ocean view, while Gym & Tonic offers made-to-order smoothies to recharge after working up a sweat. Sailors are able to pre-purchase onboard credit that is specific to purchasing alcohol and specialty drinks called a Bar Tab. Bar Tabs can be used onboard and at The Beach Club at Bimini.
Sailors will want to take something red to wear since each Lady celebrates with a Scarlet Night pool dance party, and pajamas for the PJ Party. Instead of Broadway productions, Virgin Voyages offers first-to-sea productions. Scarlet Lady features Duel Reality, the retelling of Romeo and Juliet with a circus twist; Valiant Lady features The Magnets, an a cappella group that have wowed audiences world wide; Resilient Lady features Persephone, an immersive experience of the ancient Greek tale Persephone; and Brilliant Lady features Murder in the Manor, an interactive show reminiscent of 1980s murder mystery films and novels. This is just a sampling of what Sailors can find onboard, there are dance parties, comedians, magicians, a casino, an arcade, and music, music and more music (it’s in Virgin’s DNA). Sailors will even find a record shop on board–Voyage Vinyl.
Sailors are invited to “Go from Vitamin A to Sea” by focusing on wellness and self-care. Whether it is fitness classes at B-Complex, jogging or walking on The Runway, self-care at Redemption, a mani-pedi at The Tune up, or getting a tattoo at Squid Ink, Sailors will find space to sweat, relax or just breathe.
Scarlet Lady homeports in Miami, Florida; Barcelona, Spain; and Portsmouth, UK. She is currently sailing an 11-day one-way voyage from Reykjavik, Iceland to Portsmouth, UK–a first for the cruise line. Valiant Lady homeports in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Miami, Florida. She is currently sailing a series of voyages from Miami which includes calls at the cruise line’s private destination, The Beach Club in Bimini. Resilient Lady homeports from San Juan, Puerto Rico; Miami, Florida; Barcelona, Spain; and Athens, Greece. Her current voyage is an 11-day roundtrip sailing throughout Greece. Last, but certainly not least, Brilliant Lady is on her way!
