We have a little more island hopping to do, and today we are hopping to Virgin Voyages’ Bimini Beach Club in the Bahamas. While this is not actually a private island, it is the adults-only Virgin Voyages exclusive beach club on North Bimini Island.
The Beach Club at Bimini was designed by Virgin Voyages, but owned by Resorts World Bimini. It is used exclusively by Virgin Voyages Sailors and is included in the cruise fare. When a Virgin Voyages ship is not in port, resort guests and passengers from other cruise ships may purchase passes to the Beach Club.
Upon disembarking, Sailors can take the complimentary tram from the ships which first stops at the Fisherman’s Village Marina. At the Fisherman’s Village Marina Sailors can choose to rent a golf cart and explore the island on their own, book a golf cart tour, or shop. The next stop is the Virgin Voyages’ Beach Club where most Sailors spend their entire day.
Upon entering the Beach Club, Sailors will see the side-by-side lagoon pools surrounded by lounge chairs and cabanas. Near the pool is the Lagoon Bar with lazy day swing chairs and frozen cocktails. Near the club’s entrance, sits the Hideaway filled with hammocks for relaxing. Sailors who like to take in the ocean view in the shade will enjoy the Lounge with its open-air design.
Head on down to the beach and find complimentary lounge chairs with shade umbrellas, cabanas for rent, day bed and clamshell loungers. The beach offers activities like stand-up paddleboard yoga and the “We Run This Beach” competition. The competition is hosted by members of The Happenings Cast and offers teams the chance to compete in summer camp style games in an effort to become “Beach Champion.” Belvedere Beach offers volleyball, bocce ball and corn hole.
Sailors who booked a suite onboard will get VIP treatment at the RockStar Retreat while at the Beach Club. The Retreat features a bar, private bathrooms and patio style seating areas. Additionally, exclusive VIP loungers, cabanas and day beds are available on the beach to suite guests.
If lounging around all day is not appealing, Sailors can book excursions including tram tours of the island, fishing charters, scuba diving, jet ski and kayak tours, swimming with stingrays, painting by the Bay, snorkeling, pontoon boats, or a dolphin safari.
The Beach Club offers complimentary lunch from late morning to early afternoon at each of its Beach Eats pavilions, and drinks are charged to your Virgin Voyages’ onboard account.
All four Virgin Voyages’ Ladies visit the Beach Club at Bimini–Brilliant Lady, Resilient Lady, Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady.
