Carnival Cruise Line held the largest slots prize ever seen on a Carnival ship. The Mardi Gras hosted the $1,000,000 Slot Tournament just this past week. 100 prizes were awarded during the competition. The top prize of $500,000 was awarded to the lucky first-place winner!

At the awards ceremony on Thursday not only was the $500,000 first place winner awarded, but also $150,000 second place and $50,000 place winners were recognized. In all, 1600 players participated and 100 prizes were awarded. Carnival stated this was their largest casino tournament to date. 

“It’s fitting that the biggest casino event in our company’s history coincides with our 50th birthday. Seeing firsthand the enthusiasm for the $1M Slot Tournament from our guests, I’m looking forward to us building on this with similar events,” said Jonathan Lask, Carnival’s vice president of casino and performance marketing.

Carnival’s exclusive gaming influencer, Brian Christopher Slots, was in attendance in the casino. While there he also made some videos showing the gameplay onboard the ship. Slots will also play in casinos aboard Carnival Breeze, Carnival Magic, and Carnival Dream over the coming months. 

Because of the success of the first $1,000,000 Slot Tournament, Carnival is scheduling two more tournaments over the next two years. The first will be onboard the Carnival Celebration sailing from Miami on October 29,2023. The next will be onboard Carnival Jubilee sailing from Galveston on May 18, 2024. 

This trio of ships are part of Carnival’s XL-Class and boast the fleet’s largest casinos. Players who wish to compete can book through a Carnival Players Club offer or a new open-access offer.
