A Brilliant Lady is making her way to New York City this September. And while Virgin Voyages has received multiple awards for entertainment from USA Today, Travel Weekly and other travel publications, the cruise line is continuing to raise the bar with a new entertainment lineup that will cater to a diverse group of Sailors.
“Brilliant Lady has so much in store for our Sailors and travel advisors. The new incredible additions to our entertainment is just the first reveal in a series of imaginative experiences we’re unveiling for our fourth and final ship,” said Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages.
Virgin Voyages is introducing original productions and “Happenings” events. Shows will take place in the Red Room or The Manor. Shows in the Red Room include Red Hot and Out of Time. Red Hot is a high-energy show that celebrates 50 years of the Virgin brand and its founder. The jukebox show will feature clips and hits from Virgin Records musical catalog. Out of Time is a collaboration between Virgin Voyages and No Ceilings. The comedic show takes Sailors from the Paleolithic era to the roaring 20s to the future as they race to fix Dr. Victoria Vortex’s time machine.
In The Manor, Sailors can enjoy Up With a Twist, Murder in the Manor, Duets, and Electric. Inspired by the roaring 20’s, Up With a Twist is an adventurous dining experience with a live band, dancer and world-class vocalists. The end of the show changes nightly based on choices made by the Sailors. Murder in the Manor invites Sailors to help solve a murder by blending true crime with theater. Sailors will assist bumbling investigators in solving the murder of a rockstar’s twin sister.
Sailors who enjoy jazz will want to take in Duets. The “classic sit-on-a-stool-and-sing” event showcases iconic duets arranged in a jazz style while staying true to the original genre of the music. Electric takes Sailors on an immersive UV glow party. Neon clothes, a jellyfish parade, face paint and a glowing photobooth make the party complete.
Every Virgin Voyages ship features a Scarlet Night. Brilliant Lady will be no different, except her Scarlet Night will be reimagined as it moves inside for the colder climate. The Red Room will transform and offer special programming to “keep the energy as high” as it is poolside.
