Various Cruise Lines Down Under for Summer Season

Australia is gearing up for an exciting season down under.

Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas arrived last week, October 22, 2023, for her debut down under, and Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess arrived on October 23, 2023 for her debut after a 27-night transpacific crossing from Vancouver, Canada. Both ships are embarking on a six-month summer season in Australia and New Zealand.

Now for the first time in the cruise line’s history, Disney Cruise Line is offering sailings down under. Disney Wonder departed on October 28, 2023 from Sydney, Australia on her inaugural four-night sailing that visits Hobart, Tasmania, and includes two days at sea. The ships will offer two- to six-night voyages from Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane along with select voyages from Auckland, New Zealand. Disney Wonder’s season will be short as she will depart from down under on Friday, February 16, 2024 but she will be back for the 2024-2025 Australian summer season.

Virgin Voyage’s Resilient Lady is on her way to Australia and New Zealand as well. She is sailing a three-part repositioning cruise and is expected in the region early December.

She started her journey on October 22, 2023 in Piraeus, Greece and is sailing an inaugural 14-night cruise to Dubai, UAE. The next leg of Resilient Lady’s journey will be a 15-night cruise to Singapore to begin on November 5, 2023. This voyage also debuts Virgin Voyages in India and Southeast Asia. The final leg of the cruise begins on November 20, 2023 when Resilient Lady departs Singapore and makes her way to Sydney.

These ships along with ships from Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Cunard Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Silversea Cruises, Oceania Cruises, and more are giving passengers more options than ever before to explore the Australian and New Zealand region.
