Royal Caribbean Seeking Bahamian Proposals

Royal Caribbean International’s 17-acre Royal Beach Club on Paradise Island is opening December 2025. As the company is entering the next phase of construction, it is making an open call for Bahamian businesses who specialize in everything from landscaping to medical services to submit proposals to join in the next phase of construction.

Philip Simon, President of Royal Caribbean Bahamas, said, “Our call for proposals from Bahamian businesses and artisans is a crucial next step in the Royal Beach Club’s development and ultimate success. This initiative underscores our dedication to creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs and supporting the Bahamian community by ensuring the beach club is a space for Bahamians to thrive.”

Since construction began in April of 2024, Royal Caribbean International has remained focused on including local Bahamian businesses and protecting the Bahamian culture; this phase will be no different. This phase of construction will consider proposals from Bahamian businesses which specialize in mechanical, electrical and plumbing repair, as well as refrigeration technicians, upholsterers, carpenters, landscapers, pool maintenance, pest control, security, medical and more.

Simon continued, “Each proposal will be assessed for scalability, ability to meet Royal Caribbean’s quality standards, commitment to the company’s six environmental pillars, consistency, timeliness and pricing.”

Other opportunities include housekeeping, music, entertainment, beach and water activities and the development of “The Bunker,” a new immersive experience exclusive to The Bahamas. Additionally, as part of Royal Caribbean’s Artist Discovery Program, guests will enjoy art by up-and-coming Bahamian artists connecting them to the beauty of The Bahamas.

Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is the first of the Royal Beach Club Collection. Since its inception, Royal Caribbean has kept the island nation of The Bahamas at the center of the planning and construction. Everything from the food to the staff will reflect the “beauty and spirit of The Bahamas” intertwined with Royal Caribbean’s signature touch.
