Rhapsody of the Seas Returning to Latin America

Royal Caribbean International’s Rhapsody of the Seas will be returning to Latin America and offering a series of winter sailings out of Panama and Columbia. She will arrive in Panama on  December 2, 2023 and sail seven-night cruises to the Caribbean.

Rhapsody of the Seas is a Vision-class ship that can carry 2,400 guests. She is returning to Latin America after almost a decade and will offer embarkation from Cartagena in Columbia and Colon and Panama City in Panama. Additionally, her onboard services and amenities will be catered to the Latin American community. Cruisers will be able to visit port of call like Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao from Colon, Panama and Cartagena, Columbia

“We are happy to return to Latin America this year, where we will be until April 2024 with an adventure that allows our guests to enjoy a great vacation without having to travel to the United States or have a VISA,” says Alberto Muñoz, associate vice president of Latin America and the Caribbean, Royal Caribbean International. “We have adapted our service offering to the preferences and needs of the Latin market, from more Spanish-speaking crew, more dancing options, and extended hours at Adventure Ocean, the children’s space, during the night.”

Aboard Rhapsody of the Seas, travelers will enjoy signature Royal Caribbean spaces and venues like the Centrum, the seven story atrium and entertainment space that include bars, lounges and shopping; the adults only Solarium Spa which features and indoor pool; the Royal Theater which will offer live music, high-end productions, and activities geared to the Latin American community such as Latin dance classes.

Dining options will include something for every palate. Guests will find classics like Chops Grille, specializing in cuts of meats; Izumi, offering Asian dishes; and Giovanni’s Table, offering Italian dishes. The Main Dining Room and Windjammer will offer extended hours and Latin American cuisine. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options will be offered across the ship and guests will find a new drink menu at Schooner Bar.

Shore excursions and Private Journeys are available in every destination. Guests will be able to enjoy themed outings including one that is focused on meeting new people. The outing, Singles and Friends, will be offered on the first crossing from Colon, Panama on December 2.

Cruises to Panama and Colombia are trending upward. Vacationers have increased by 557.1% to Panama and by 346% to Colombia. The arrival of Rhapsody of the Seas to this region further reinforces this upward trend.
