PortMiami Welcoming Eight New Ships

PortMiami has announced eight new ships will depart from the “Cruise Capital of the World” for the 2023-24 cruise season.

Let’s take a look at each one:

Oceania Cruises’ Vista

The small and luxurious Vista was built just this year and is ready to take up to 1.200 guests on their next vacation.

Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Venezia

If you are looking for a taste of Italy, Carnival Venezia is offering cruising “Fun Italian Style” from Miami.

Scenic Eclipse II

Scenic Eclipse II is “where ultra-luxury meets discovery” and is sailing her inaugural season in North America and the Caribbean.

Crystal Cruises’ Crystal Serenity

Crystal Serenity was renovated this year and is ready to welcome up to 740 guests when she arrives in PortMiami in November 2023.

MSC Cruises’ Explora 1

Explora I will also welcome guests in November and offer luxurious dining and entertainment as she sails the Caribbean.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Viva

Also built this year, Norwegian Viva will begin sailing from PortMiami in November while her guests experience some of the fastest slides at sea along with a three-level race track.

Regent’s Seven Seas Grandeur

The brand new Seven Seas Grandeur will make her debut at PortMiami in December 2023. The all-inclusive luxury ship “elevates the pinnacle of ocean cruising to new heights.”

Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas

The largest cruise ship in the world will be in PortMiami beginning January 2024. The ship features Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea with six record-breaking slides, a pool for every day of the week, five new neighborhoods—Aquadome, Surfside, Thrill Island, Chill Island, and The Hideaway—and so much more.

“We are grateful for the longstanding partnerships with all of our cruise partners and their commitment to providing a world-class experience to our passengers,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava in a statement. “These new ships, and their improved amenities and customer experience, are helping to keep Miami-Dade and PortMiami on the cutting edge of the cruise industry.”

PortMiami is also finalizing its Shore Power Program which will make shore power capability available at five of its cruise terminals allowing ships to turn off their engines while docked, reducing air emissions. The Shore Power Program is a partnership between PortMiami, its cruise partners and Florida Power and Light Company.
