Norwegian Cruise Line Debuts Unique Starbucks Mugs

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced a new, exclusive collection of “Been There” Starbucks mugs to debut on nine of its ships beginning with the Norwegian Viva in August 2023.

In addition to being sold aboard the cruise line’s second prima class ship, Norwegian Viva, cruisers will also find the exclusive limited-edition mugs at the Starbucks Cafes aboard Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Gem, Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Sky, and Norwegian Prima.

Each mug is unique in that it showcases an element of the ship on which it is sold. You will find the Norwegian Bliss’ whale tail art designed by ocean conservationist Wyland, Norwegian Prima’s “Drop” and “Rush” slides, casinos, smokestacks, and crew members. Some mugs showcase destinations in Alaska, Harvest Caye, or Great Stirrup Cay, the cruise line’s private islands in Belize and the Bahamas.

Norwegian Cruise Line and Starbucks have had a longstanding relationship. In 2021, the cruise line began rolling out Starbucks across its fleet and private islands. The nine Norwegian ships that will be debuting the “Been There” Starbuck mugs also house freestanding Starbucks Cafes and the entire fleet houses “We Proudly Serve” cafes that also offer Starbucks. Starbucks beverages are also available at all cafes, in the main dining room and in specialty restaurants. Some ships even offer self-pour coffee stations.

The “Been There” Starbucks mugs will be available for purchase onboard their respective ships at the Starbucks Cafe only.

Not only will Starbucks lovers enjoy the “Been There” mugs, but these will also make a great souvenir for anyone who wants to bring a unique keepsake of their cruise home.
