New Venues Revealed Aboard Icon of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas will feature more than 15 bars and lounges when she debuts in January 2024.

Whether you are looking for live music, cocktails or bubbly from a walkup champagne bar, Icon of the Seas has it. It doesn’t matter how you are sailing, there will be a spot for you.

“We’ve set out to introduce a new kind of vacation in every sense and taken a blank slate to create an unparalleled blend of ways vacationers can celebrate and make memories whatever their mood, vibe and style,” said Linken D’Souza, vice president, food and beverage, Royal Caribbean International.

“From all-new venues and bolder favorites to new iconic drinks on every menu, zero-proof cocktails and twists to classics, there’s something for everyone to make the most of their nights out on Icon of the Seas.”

One area that is sure to be an instant hit is the Dueling Pianos in Royal Promenade. This will be a first for any Royal Caribbean ship and will feature two baby grand pianos and talented pianists to take requests and provide an exciting atmosphere for cruisers.

Lou’s Jazz ‘n Blues will provide indoor and outdoor seating on Deck 8 in Central Park. The live jazz club will offer new and classic sounds from both New York and New Orleans.

The Rye & Bean coffee bar can be found on Deck 15 in the AquaDome. It will convert from offering cappuccinos and lattes in the morning to offering espresso cocktails and more in the evening.

There is the Bubbles walkup champagne bar in Central Park on Deck 8, and the 1400 Lobby Bar on Deck 5, which was inspired by the shipbuilding number of Icon of the Seas.

“The number of the hull on every ship is unique to that ship, and on Icon of the Seas that number was 1400,” said D’Souza. “The 1400 Lobby Bar is our tribute to all of those hard-working folks who built this amazing and iconic ship.”

Some returning venues include the Playmaker Sports Bar & Arcade, Boleros, Schooner Bar, and for those who love taking the stage, Spotlight Karaoke.

Seems like every guest will be able to find a drink to enjoy on the largest cruise ship in the world, Icon of the Seas.
