MSC World America to Feature Enhanced Family Programming

MSC Cruises announced its latest World Class ship, MSC World America, will feature enhanced family activities and spaces. Currently under construction in France, she will enter service in April 2025 with seven distinct districts as well as new programming and facilities created in partnership with the LEGO Group.

Already known for its award-winning kid’s programming, MSC Cruises aims to provide an unforgettable cruise for children of all ages. However, MSC World America will showcase the company’s largest and most technologically advanced kids area. Doremiland kids’ area on MSC World America is designed for guests from 0 to 17 and will span more than 10,000 square feet in seven different spaces. Baby services are offered in collaboration with Chicco and only on MSC World America, Kids’ Clubs will be open daily from 9am to midnight.

Steve Leatham, Head of Entertainment for MSC Cruises, said, “We set ourselves the goal to create the most exceptional kids and family offering at sea with MSC World America. Our aim is to give our younger guests the freedom to express their creativity, play, socialize and explore with amazing spaces and programs that have to be seen to be believed.”

In the center of Doremiland will be Family Aventura which will feature a brand-new LEGO Family Zone where LEGO fans of all ages and abilities can build from morning to evening. Once per cruise, LEGO enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy a LEGO Parade with LEGO characters that will march from Family Aventura to the World Promenade. For the family that loves a game show, MSC World America will host a LEGO Family Game Show where families can join in on a team challenge and compete as Master Builders.

At the heart of the Family Aventura district will be a new outdoor park–The Harbour. The space will allow families to come together for dining and activities like a new Cliffhanger attraction and a high ropes course. Additionally, guests will find a playground inspired by the iconic lighthouse at Ocean Cay Marine Reserve in The Bahamas.

Matteo Mancini, Senior Manager of Youth Entertainment for MSC Cruises, said, “We specifically listened to our young guests from North America to design our kids and family offering. We are bringing a variety of extraordinary facilities and new experiences never seen before!”

More of those experiences include the Boxes Family Game Show where mystery boxes contain blind challenges that families must solve in order to win; and the Doremix Family Disco, a dance competition where children and parents compete for the title of best dancer. Teens will enjoy the new high-tech experiences like Star Shooters in the Sportplex and Virtual Reality at Luna Park.

MSC World America is expected to be christened on April 9, 2025 at PortMiami where she will homeport and offer 7- and 14-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.
