Thanks to a partnership between MSC Cruises and the Italian food and wine global ambassador, Eataly, the cruise line’s newest ship, MSC World America, will feature gourmet Italian cuisine when she debuts. The world-renowned brand will debut Eataly at Sea alongside the ship’s other new restaurants and casual food options.
Bernhard Stacher, Vice President of Global Hotel Operations, MSC Cruises, said: “As an international cruise line with a strong European heritage, we are committed to taking our guests on a gastronomic journey of discovery with the onboard dining experience as we believe that the best memories are made when sharing good food together. MSC World America stays true to this philosophy, which is why we have partnered with Eataly – an emblem of Made in Italy and Italian culinary artistry. We share a passion for high-quality, authentic food made with fresh ingredients and together we are creating a unique experience that can only be enjoyed on board MSC World America.”
The mega-ship, which is currently under construction at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France, will feature 19 dining venues which includes four elegant main restaurants, two buffets, two venues exclusive to MSC Yacht Club guests, and other unique dining experiences.
The new Eataly at Sea will offer some of the brand’s most popular items as well as dishes available only onboard. Guests will enjoy foods sourced from Italian suppliers, fresh-made pasta and an open kitchen allowing guests to view the cooking process live.
MSC World America will also feature five other specialty restaurants. Found in The Terraces district are four fan favorites–Kaito Sushi Bar, Kaito Teppanyaki, Butcher’s Cut steakhouse, and Hola! Tacos & Cantina. The fifth is the new Paxos Greek Restaurant. Paxos will feature a Mediterranean-style seafood menu and other Greek favorites as well as music to accompany dinner.
Additionally, MSC World America will offer five casual on-the-go eateries. The new Paxos on the Go offers authentic Greek favorites like souvlaki and fritto misto. The new Promenade Bites offers hotdogs, chili dogs, street corn, corn on the cob and cotton candy. Both Paxos and Promenade Bites are located in the Promenade district.
Located in the Family Aventura district will be the new Harbour Bar & Bites which will feature savory snacks like burritos, corn dogs and sweets like cookies and brownies. La Boca Grill, located in the Aqua Deck district, will offer the perfect lunch–pizza– in the perfect spot. If you are looking for American classics you will find Luna Park Pizza & Burger in the Galleria district.
When MSC World America debuts in April 2025, she will sail a 7-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary with ports of call in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and MSC Ocean Cay Marine Reserve. The cruise ship will spend her inaugural season sailing alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings from PortMiami with all itineraries featuring a call at the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas.
