MSC Meraviglia Arrives in New York City

MSC Meraviglia officially arrived in New York City at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal on April 20, 2023 after an eleven day repositioning cruise from Port Canaveral. New York City joins Miami and Port Canaveral as an official homeport for the growing cruise line.

“When we chose New York as the next step in our North American expansion, we knew that MSC Meraviglia would be the perfect ship, given her versatility and offerings for a wide variety of climates. She’s big and innovative, she offers something for everyone, and now she’s more accessible than ever for our guests in and around New York,” said Rubén Rodríguez, President, MSC Cruises USA.

For the first time, MSC Cruises is offering year-round sailings from the Brooklyn terminal further solidifying its presence in North America.

The six to 11 night itineraries aboard the MSC Meraviglia will include:

  • Seven to 11-night cruises in the Bahamas and Florida. Calls will include Miami and Port Canaveral in Florida, Nassau and the cruise line’s private island Ocean Cay in the Bahamas, and Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico.
  • Five and six-night sailings in Bermuda from Kings Wharf starting in August.
  • 10 and 11-night voyages in Canada and New England with calls in Newport, Boston and Portland in the United States and Saint John, Halifax, Charlottetown, and Sydney in Canada.

“We’re thrilled to give guests from the Northeast a direct link to our private destination—Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve—which is part of our fantastic itineraries to The Bahamas,” said Rodríguez. “As the year goes on, they’ll have other options like spending several days exploring Bermuda, or heading north for the breathtaking fall foliage in Canada and New England.”

MSC Cruises offers its international guests “Stay & Cruise” packages where they can stay up to three nights in the city. They also have the option to take a free guided tour of Manhattan before embarkation day.
