MSC Cruises, in collaboration with Lionsgate and GEA Live, is bringing the live-to-film concert “Dirty Dancy: In Concert” to MSC Poesia for the cruise line’s first-ever summer Alaska season. This will make the third ship in the cruise line’s fleet, as the concert has been a hit aboard both MSC World America out of Miami and MSC Virtuosa out of Southampton since its debut.
MSC Poesia will offer 7-night sailings out of Seattle that will explore Alaska’s landscapes, wildlife, and culture starting May 11, 2026. Throughout the cruise, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the 90-minute concert that features sensational singers and dancers performing in sync with the beloved 80s movie.
“We are thrilled to have ‘Dirty Dancing: In Concert’ on board MSC Poesia for MSC Cruises’ first-ever sailings to Alaska this summer season. Following the incredible response we have seen since the launch on MSC World America and MSC Virtuosa, we’re excited to be able to offer it on more of our ships for our guests to enjoy this truly one-of-a-kind experience at sea,” said Steve Leatham, Vice President of Entertainment, MSC Cruises.
“Dirty Dancing: In Concert” is only the beginning of MSC Poesia’s world-class entertainment offerings. Other musical entertainment includes MSC Dueling Pianos; live jazz, party bands, salsa and Latin music groups; and exclusive musical programming in the Top Sail Lounge for MSC Yacht Club guests. The ship will also offer themed parties, comedians, wellness and sports activities, as well as arts & crafts. Additionally, guests can enjoy the expertise of regional specialists as they offer narrated events and hands-on workshops.
Before her debut in Alaska, MSC Poesia will undergo an extensive upgrade that will include the addition of the MSC Yacht Club, Butcher’s Cut, Kaito Sushi Bar, and All-Sports Bar. Also, MSC Aurea Spa and MSC Gym will be enhanced and refreshed.
MSC Poesia’s inaugural Alaska season will include destinations such as Ketchikan, Icy Strait Hoonah, Tracy Arm, Juneau, and Victoria, B.C., Canada.
