MSC Cruises Kicking Off Its Winter Seasons

MSC Cruises is returning to the Canary Islands and Madeira for the winter season. This will be the cruise line’s first complete winter season in the Canaries since 2013-14 by MSC Armonia. This series of 7-night cruises by MSC Opera replaces a canceled deployment in the Red Sea due to security concerns.

The 7-night round trip itineraries will depart from Las Palmas De Gran Canaria in Spain and visit Puerto Del Rosario before guests enjoy a day at sea. The cruise ship’s next stops will be Funchal in Portugal and Santa Cruz De La Palma, Arrecife De Lanzarote, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Spain before returning to Las Palma De Gran Canaria.

At the end of her winter season in the Canary Islands, MSC Opera will reposition to the Eastern Mediterranean. She will sail an 11-night cruise to Venice, Italy where she will homeport and sail a series of Adriatic Sea cruises. The 7-night round trip itineraries will include ports of call in Greece, Italy, Croatia and Montenegro.

MSC Cruises has also kicked off its winter season from PortMiami with MSC Divina and MSC Seaside arriving on Monday, November 18, 2024. MSC Seascape also homeports from PortMiami and offers week-long Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings. MSC Divinia and MSC Seaside will offer 3-, 4-, 7- and 10-night sailings to the Caribbean. All itineraries from these sailings will visit Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas.

Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of MSC Cruises, Lynn Torrent, said, “MSC Divina, MSC Seascape, and MSC Seaside are not only fan favorites but also highly competitive ships in the U.S. market. With three exceptional ships and an expanded selection of itineraries in Miami, we are providing guests with more opportunities than ever to explore the Caribbean in unparalleled style. Whether they are first-time cruisers or loyal MSC fans, there is a perfect voyage for every traveler, ensuring an unforgettable journey tailored to every preference.”

MSC Seaside departs every Sunday to sail 7-night Eastern or Western Caribbean voyages. Her Eastern Caribbean itineraries will visit Ocean Cay, Nassau, San Juan and Puerto Plata. Her Western Caribbean itineraries will visit Mexico, Honduras or Belize and Ocean Cay.

MSC Divina will sail 3- and 4-night itineraries to Ocean Cay and Nassau. She will also sail a few 10-night itineraries to Jamaica, Aruba, Curaçao, the Dominican Republic and The Bahamas. Additionally, she will offer a 14-night sailing that includes the same ports at the 10-night sailings as well as a stop in Nassau.

MSC Seascape will depart on Saturdays and offer 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. She will call on Ocean Cay, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico and the Cayman Islands.
