MSC Cruises is offering more chances than ever to get your name in the record books. The cruise line has expanded its partnership with GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS after setting 30 world record titles in the last 18 months.
Through the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS program, guests have the opportunity to participate in record-breaking activities. The program was introduced in 2023 on MSC Seascape and MSC World Europa and is now available on 12 of the cruise line’s ships. The experience is available around the world on MSC World Europa, MSC Euribia, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa, MSC Seashore, MSC Seascape, MSC Divina, MSC Magnifica, MSC Belissima, MSC Seaside and MSC Splendida. Additionally, MSC World America will offer the game show and quizzes when the cruise line’s newest World Class ship sets sail from Miami in April 2025 and is expected to be available across the entire fleet within the next year.
MSC Cruises’ VP of Entertainment Steve Leatham said, “The program has been hugely popular among guests, both adults and children alike. To date, MSC Cruises guests and crew have broken 30 GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS. From being the fastest to pull 100 meters of rope (about the length of a football field), to being the quickest to complete 20 chair rotations in under 21 seconds, or putting the most socks on one foot in under 30 seconds, guests have attained record-breaking glory in a variety of quirky ways.
We’re excited to be able to offer these activities on more of our ships for guests of all ages to enjoy. The extended partnership is part of MSC Cruises’ broader strategy to further elevate their onboard immersive entertainment programs and provide carefully crafted entertainment for guests of all tastes.”
While cruising, guests can take part in record-breaking activities as well as audition for the evening show. During the show, finalists can compete to become a record holder. Successful record-breaking participants, as determined by a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Official Adjudicator, will receive a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS certificate and bragging rights.
