MSC Cruises Celebrates With Formula 1

In May 2023, MSC Cruises announced it was continuing its Official Cruise Partnership with Formula 1 through 2026 and the cruise line would be the official title sponsor for the Belgian Grand Prix. 

Over the weekend, MSC Cruises and Formula 1 celebrated this sponsorship as one of the most prominent Formula 1 races, the MSC Cruises Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix 2023, took place at the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit in Belgium from July 28 to July 30, 2023.

As the title sponsor, MSC Cruises had greater visibility during the race as it was featured at the start/finish line as well as other locations around the course. 

The winning trophy was co-designed by MSC Cruises and CEO of MSC cruises was on hand for the podium ceremony. 

Onorato stated, “Being the title sponsor in Belgium is the next milestone in our partnership with Formula 1.  An MSC Cruises trophy was presented during the Formula 1 podium ceremony, which was an incredible moment celebrating the success of the drivers and recognizing the teamwork that goes into delivering winning results. It was an honor for me to participate in this special moment on behalf of MSC Cruises and present the winners with the trophy.”

In 2023 and 2024, MSC Cruises will also position ships during select Grand Prix weekends and offer an unforgettable hospitality experience from the ship to the racetrack. The first event, which happens to be the final race of the 2023 season, will be held in November in Abu Dhabi, UAE. 

The weekend will feature MSC Virtuosa docked at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal. The cruise line will offer fans unique accommodations, unrivaled hospitality, convenient transportation, and VIP packages ensuring the most memorable fan experience throughout the weekend. During the 2024 season, fans can expect to see MSC Cruises continuing these unique racing packages and fan experiences.
