Love and Marriage and Carnival Cruise Line

Is there any better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than on a cruise? How about on a cruise and renewing your wedding vows? How about on a cruise with Carnival Cruise Line Chief Fun Officer, Shaquille O’Neal, officiating your wedding vow renewal?

Well, this is exactly how thousands of couples celebrated Valentine’s Day 2023. Shaquille O’Neal virtually officiated Carnival’s largest ever wedding Vow Renewal at Sea across the entire Carnival fleet.

The vow renewals took place while the ships were at sea and docked in places like Nassau, Puerto Vallarta, Cozumel, Grand Turk, or St. Maarten. After the ceremonies, guests were treated to a reception complete with DJ, dancing and a champagne toast to honor the occasion.

The Valentine’s Day vow renewal ceremonies sailings also included fun activities for guests to enjoy the holiday. Activities included special trivia, Drive-In Movies and the immensely popular, fun and flirtatious Love & Marriage Show hosted by the ship’s cruise director.

While this record breaking vow renewal was memorable and fun, Carnival Cruise Line always offers guests the opportunity to take part in unique ceremonies at sea through Carnival Cruise Line’s Weddings by Carnival program. Guests can choose from intimate gatherings to celebrations that include family and friends.

“Our wedding and vow renewal offerings are expansive, and our dedicated team of professional planners can help handle every detail with care, from the music and decor to the dessert. Guests can choose ceremonies at sea, in port at beautiful destinations, or even at the ship’s homeport ahead of their cruise so friends and family who aren’t sailing can attend the event,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
