Holland America Sailing Two Ships for 2024-25 Asia Season

Holland America Line has announced its 2024-25 Asia season and it is proving to be its most diverse ever. The cruise line intends to deploy two ships that will include 49 ports of call throughout ten countries. The ships will embark from Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore with a strong focus in Japan.

“The demand for Asia remains strong as cruisers seek experiences to exotic and off-the-beaten-path locales that give them unique travel moments,” said Beth Bodensteiner, Holland America Line’s chief commercial officer. “By offering three departure cities we’re able to diversify our itineraries and showcase an incredibly robust season. With 24 ports in Japan alone and two dozen more spread among several countries, our guests are in for an immersive Asia adventure.”

Westerdam will sail a new 53-day round trip Majestic Japan Legendary Voyage from Seattle. The voyage calls on 21 ports which includes 13 calls in Japan. It also includes overnight port calls in Tokyo and Kobe, Japan along with Honolulu, Hawaii. 

Noordam will sail the new Coral Triangle, Volcanoes and The Great Barrier Reef Legendary Voyage, a 28-day round trip itinerary that sails from Singapore. Embarking on January 5, 2024, Noordam will sale the Great Barrier Reef and Torres Strait to visit 10 ports in five countries  

Noordam will explore Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam as she sails nine 14-day itineraries. 

Those itineraries include:

  • “Far East Discovery” — this itinerary sails between Hong Kong and Singapore  and includes calls at Halong Bay, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Phu My, Vietnam; Sihanoukville, Cambodia; and Laem Chabang and Nathon, Thailand.
  • “Indonesian Discovery” — this itinerary cruises roundtrip from Singapore with all ports of call in Indonesia along with scenic cruising by the active Krakatau Volcano.
  • “Japan and Taiwan” — this voyage sails roundtrip from Yokohama and includes the ports of Hualien and Keelung in Taiwan along with the ports of  Amami, Naha, Ishigaki Island, Nagasaki, Abruatsu, Kochi and Kobe in Japan 

Noordam will sail a 13-day “North Pacific Crossing” departing from Vancouver to Yokohama in September 2024. Ports featured during this sailing include Sitka and Kodiak, Alaska, along with Kushiro, Japan.

She will also offer a 15-day cruise departing from Yokohama to Vancouver in April 2025. Those ports of call include Kushiro in Japan, and Kodiak, Juneau, Ketchikan, and Glacier Bay in Alaska.

Holland America Line also offers the Asia Collectors’ Voyages. This gives cruisers the opportunity for a month-long experience at sea by combining back-to-back, non repeating ports of call. 

For a limited time, cruisers who book specific 2024-25 Asia cruises including the Have It All premium package will also receive the cruise line’s standard package of shore excursions, specialty dining, a Signature Beverage Package and Surf Wi-Fi.
