Holland America Line has revealed new longer itineraries and new overnight stays for its 2027-2028 Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific season. The 14- to 35-day itineraries offer a more in-depth exploration of the region and its destinations.
“Whether guests want to experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Milford Sound, the crystal-clear waters of Fiji and the South Pacific, or encounter the region’s iconic wildlife, we’ve designed this season to deliver the authentic experiences travelers are looking for,” said Paul Grigsby, vice president of deployment and revenue planning. “We’ve also added time for guests to linger longer with new overnight stays in Melbourne, Cairns and Lautoka — joining a growing list of ports in the region where we extend the experience beyond a single day.”
Between September 2027 and March 2028, Holland America will offer multiple voyages to some of the world’s most sought-after destinations. The voyages include new overnight stays in Melbourne and Cairns, Australia and Lautoka, Fiji, giving travellers more time to enjoy the local culture and cuisine, as well as appreciate the beauty of the land and all it has to offer.
Onboard, travellers will enjoy themed events, local cuisine and “destination-inspired” conversations with experts. In port, travellers can tour sheep farms and glowworm grottos, attempt to spot the elusive fairy penguin, or visit any of 13 UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the world-renowned Sydney Opera House. With Holland America Line’s Destination Dining program, travellers will enjoy the flavors of the region, including meat pies, pavlovas, mussels, tropical fruits and mahi-mahi.
