Holland America Line Collaborates with Crane Stationery for Commemorative Cards

Holland America Line has collaborated with Crane Stationery to create a collection of cards designed by artists from the United States Veterans’ Artist Alliance (USVAA) to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.

The collection features 12 cards, designed by U.S. veteran artists Lindsay “Bones” Codero, Amy R. Roberts, and Jen LaVita. Each artist created four cards using their own style and aesthetic, with one card dedicated to each of the cruise line’s 11 ships.

“There is power in bringing together two brands with such deep roots,” said Kacy Cole, chief marketing officer for Holland America Line. “Crane and Holland America Line share a belief in craftmanship, authenticity and creating lasting memories. This collaboration allows us to translate that heritage into a tangible experience our guests can truly connect with.”

Crane has long been the paper of choice of historical figures such as Paul Revere, who used the paper to print the American Colonies’ first paper money. Crane stationery was used to create the inauguration invitations for the Golden Gate Bridge and Statue of Liberty, Christmas cards from the Roosevelts, and sympathy acknowledgements from Jacqueline Kennedy.

“We are honored to partner with Holland America Line, bringing together our shared commitment to artistry, storytelling and enduring design,” said Robert Buhler, CEO of Crane Stationery. “Both of our brands are grounded in American Heritage, legacy and fine craftsmanship, and this commemorative card collection serves as a lasting tribute to America’s 250th and the deep sense of pride, purpose and heritage reflected in the artists’ work.”

During the 2026 Grand World Voyage on Volendam, the ship will host a “veterans meet-up,” which is open to all veterans. The meet-up will provide veterans the opportunity to connect and honor other veterans using the commemorative cards. The meet-up will be led by fellow veteran and Holland America’s President, Beth Bodensteiner.

The cards are available for purchase exclusively on Holland America Line ships at the end of April.
