Holland America Line Breaks Booking Day Record

Six months ago, Holland America line recorded its largest booking day in its 150 year history. Now, the cruise line has broken that record again. On January 16, 2024, Holland America Line broke the July 11, 2023, by 18%. By the end of the week, Holland America had set its largest-ever booking week during its current “wave” season. Half of the cruise line’s bookings are for its award-winning Alaskan cruises with 22% of all reservations being made for 2025 or later.

Holland America Line has sailed in Alaska for 75 years–longer than any other cruise line–making it the leader in Alaskan cruises. In 2024, the cruise line will sail six of its ships in the region and offer more Glacier Bay visits than any other cruise line. Additionally, Holland America Line recently expanded its “Alaska Up Close” programming and guests are immersed in the local culture through onboard programming, cruise activities and shore excursions.

Holland America Line’s President, Gus Antorcha said, “Stacking records on top of records is a sign of continued strength for our business and an endorsement from our guests that they are truly having the time of their lives exploring the world with us. Our position as the cruise line with the most visits to Alaska’s glaciers and more ways to see wildlife is resonating, and we’re pleased to see so many guests already planning their 2025 vacations.”

Guests can take advantage of Holland America Line’s “Time of Your Life” sale through February 29, 2024. Guests who chose the “Have It All” premium cruise package with select summer 2024 through spring 2025 cruises will receive a free stateroom upgrade, fare discounts, free fare for kids, reduced deposits, shore excursions, beverages, specialty dining, and WiFi. Book before January 31, 2024 and receive onboard credit up to $500 depending on the length of the cruise.

Just this week, Holland America Line introduced a new category of longer cruises, Legendary Voyages. These Legendary Voyages offer destination-rich itineraries that allow guests more time in port and onboard programming to enrich the experience. In 2025, the cruise line will also offer the 2025 Grand Voyage: Pole to Pole and the 2025 Grand World Voyage. These voyages will run simultaneously and sail for more than 120 days.
