Holland America Celebrates 150 Years

Holland America Line is commemorating 150 years of service and is offering special fare discounts, onboard credit, reduced deposits, and special sailings to its guests to celebrate.

Holland America Line began sailing in 1873 and has offered two different transatlantic crossings much like those she sailed in the era. If guests missed out on those, they can still take advantage of Holland America Line’s special Anniversary Sale.

Beth Bodensteiner, chief commercial officer, said, “Holland America Line’s 150th anniversary is an opportunity to show our guests how much we appreciate them, whether it’s through special onboard activities or amazing offers like the Anniversary Sale that make cruising with us an even more valuable vacation.”

The special offer, which is available in select sailings and must be booked by May 4, 2023, includes up to 45% off cruise fares, up to $150 onboard credit per person and deposits are reduced.

Holland America is also allowing guests to combine the Anniversary offer with other promotions such as “Have it All” or “Kids Cruise Free.”

The “Have it All” includes shore tours, a special drink package, specialty dining offer, and a WiFi surf package. And with “Kids Cruise Free,” children cruise free as the third and fourth guests in a stateroom.

Not only is the cruise line offering these great sales to its guests, but Holland America is also exploring other ways to celebrate its history as it approaches the 150th birthday on August 18.

“Our milestone birthday this month is one that few companies ever reach, and we’re taking the year to celebrate Holland America Line and the historical significance of the brand,” said Bodensteiner.
