Disney Dream Receiving Remodel

Disney Dream is currently spending her summer season in Europe, but this fall will bring some exciting changes to the Disney Cruise Line Dream-class cruise ship.

Disney Dream will complete her final European summer cruise on September 15, 2024, and enter drydock where she will receive a major remodel–her first since entering service 13 years ago. She will remain out of service until she makes her way across the Atlantic to her new home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on October 20, 2024.

Making a splash upon her return to service will be Disney Dream’s revamped youth venues. Her Oceaneer Club is getting a Marvel-themed makeover. Kids between the ages of 3 and 10 will enjoy a state-of-the-art lab where they create and test new suit prototypes for Spider-Man and other heroes. While “working” Avenger heroes will be stopping by to check the young scientists progress.

Disney Dream’s Edge venue will be moving to Deck 5 where guests between the ages of 11 and 14 will have access to an outdoor deck complete with a ball pit and other games. Edge will also feature a club lounge and dance floor.

A Disney Cruise Line remodel would not be complete without adding a little magic, and Disney Dream is definitely adding a little magic. When she returns the service, the vessel will offer a Fantastical Funnel Suite. Themed to honor “Fantasia,” “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” and Disney Dream’s stern character, Sorcerer Mickey, the forward funnel of the ship will be completely transformed into a Dream Tower Suite. The two-story funnel suite will immerse its guests into Sorcerer Mickey’s magic with “celestial-inspired surroundings, carpet design inspired by flowing water, and a chandelier reminiscent of his famous control of the waves.”

The cruise line will also revamp the vessel’s standard suites, as well as the Concierge Lounge–a venue accessible only to suite guests. The Concierge Lounge will be expanded and remodeled into a new space inspired by “Hercules.” The lounge will feature decor and artwork inspired by Mount Olympus and the gods which live there.

Finally, Disney Dream will upgrade her spa with an improved check-in area and new treatment rooms. She will also feature a new Mexican quick service dining option on Deck 11 easily accessed from the family pool deck.

From her new Florida home, Disney Dream will sail 3- to 5-day voyages in the Bahamas beginning with a 4-night Bahamian voyage on November 2, 2024.
