Disney Cruise Line Reveals Details of New Ship

Disney Cruise Line has revealed new venues and reimagined familiar spaces guests will find aboard their newest ship, Disney Treasure, when she debuts in late 2024.

Disney Treasure will incorporate stories from Walt Disney Animation Stories, Pixar and Disney Parks. When guests board Disney Treasure they will find themed spaces and entertainment inspired by Disney favorites like Zootopia, Coco, The Lion King, Moana, Mulan, The Incredibles and Aladdin. 

“The Disney Treasure will bring brand-new stories to life, blending one-of-a-kind experiences with the extraordinary entertainment, world-class dining and unparalleled hospitality that make every sailing so memorable,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Cruise Line. “As we chart a course for adventure, we’re so excited for families to discover the excitement and exploration that awaits onboard the sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.”

Guests will find new dining spaces and entertainment inspired by Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios. 

Plaza de Coco debuts as the first theatrical dining experience for the Disney and Pixar film Coco. Guests will enjoy the theater-in-the-round entertainment venue with dining tables surrounding the stage and the show spread throughout the room. There are two different nights of story-telling of Miguel and his family. Both nights will feature a menu of “modern twists on traditional Mexican fare.”

Guests will find a sweetshop based on the popular ice cream parlor, Jumbeaux Café, in Disney’s Zootopia. With decor featuring bunnies and elephants along with sloths and foxes, when guests enter Jumbeaux’s Sweets they can indulge in more than 20 flavors of handmade gelato, 16 flavors of ice cream and sorbets along with specialty treats, candies and more.

Also for the first time, some classic and loved Disney theme park attractions are coming to Disney Cruise Line. 

Skipper Society, a themed lounge, will bring the iconic Jungle Cruise attraction to sea. Guests can enjoy themed cocktails, light snacks and live entertainment as they sit beneath a canopy of jungle foliage. 

Periscope Pub is the first venue inspired by the classic 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. The submarine-styled space that features 19th century steampunk decor is a casual space for guests to relax and take in love sports and news while enjoying craft brews. 

Tomorrow Tower Suite captures the atmosphere of the Walt Disney World Resort theme park, EPCOT. The suite overlooks the top deck of Disney Treasure and comfortably sleeps eight guests. The suite includes a dining area that features a full kitchen and a private ensuite elevator. 

Guests will find the theme of adventure in the ship’s Grand Hall. The ship’s most prominent gathering place will feature statues and decor to represent Agrabah and the classic tale of Aladdin.  

Just off the Grand Hall, guests will find two casual walk up cafes serving coffee, tea, specialty beverages and snacks will feature new themes from Moana and Mulan. Heihei Café is named for Moana’s trusty sidekick while Jade Cricket Café honors the Fa Family’s lucky cricket. 

Other new venues include Sarabi. The space, named for the lioness matriarch in Disney’s The Lion King, will be a hub for daytime activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment. 

The ships will feature Disney Cruise Line’s own water coaster called AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg. Guests will ride through 760 feet of winding tubes that will offer breathtaking views of the ocean and the ship beneath them. AquaMouse will also offer a new storyline for the world’s most famous mice through animated shorts. 

The staterooms will feature elements of artwork and design from Disney and Pixar films like Aladdin, Pocahontas, Up and Encanto, while the concierge and royal suites will feature beloved felines from The Lion King, The Jungle Book and Aladdin. 

Disney Cruise Line guests will still find many of their favorites aboard Disney Treasure.Stage production will include the beloved tale as old as time “Beauty and the Beast” along with “Disney Seas the Adventure” opening show. And of course, the ever popular deck party, Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party complete with music and fireworks.

Disney Treasure will embark on her maiden voyage on December 21, 2024. She will sail a 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral and then offer 7-night itineraries to both the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
