Disney Cruise Line is revealing details about its largest-ever ship–Disney Adventure–which will sail from Singapore in 2025. Disney Imagination Garden will be the entertainment hub of the ship that will bring to life a classic pop-up storybook that is filled with foliage, flowers, topiaries, and other scenic props that look like paper cut-outs. Throughout the garden will be a collection of popular characters and designs from Disney, Pixar and Marvel.
Disney Imagination Garden will be an open-air garden that is set against a three-deck-tall storybook castle artwork on one end and the Garden Stage bringing Disney characters to life on the other end. In between will be a promenade that features two eateries, a bar, and garden-view staterooms. The open “lawn” seating in front of the stage will lead to a staircase that doubles as amphitheater-style seating. A Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse topiary stands at the center of the courtyard waving his wand and bringing the garden to life.
“Disney Imagination Garden is the heart and soul of the Disney Adventure, where our guests will interact with our Disney, Pixar and Marvel stories in a whole new way,” said Laura Cabo, portfolio executive creative director, Walt Disney Imagineering. “The size and scale of this space provided us with so many opportunities to dream big and try new things with our experiential design, creating first-of-a-kind experiences for our guests, from all-new entertainment to delicious dining and lots of magical surprises sprinkled throughout. Rooted in the rich legacy of Disney storytelling, we’re creating an area that will open doors to new adventures and encourage guests to create magic of their own.”
Guests will enjoy the state-of-the-art Garden Stage with its three-deck-high LED screen and special effects throughout each day of their voyage. Performing on the Garden Stage will be Avengers Assemble! In the battle of Marvel Super Heroes and Villains and making his Disney Cruise Line debut will be the one-and-only Deadpool.
The two eateries found in Disney Imagination Garden will be Mowgli’s Eatery and Gramma Tala’s Kitchen. Both quick eateries will offer indoor and outdoor seating which will offer a view of the Garden Stage and the entertainment. Mowgli’s Eatery is inspired by the lead character’s journey in “The Jungle Book” while Gramma Tala’s Kitchen will feature decor with the island flair of “Moana.”
Disney Adventure will begin sailing from Singapore in 2025 and offer three- and four-night itineraries. As part of the agreement between Disney Cruise Line and the Singapore Tourism Board, she will sail from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre for at least five years. The ship’s maiden voyage details will be announced at a later date.
