Disney Cruise Line Postpones Disney Adventure Debut

Just days after departing for her sea trials, Disney Cruise Line has announced it has made the “difficult decision to postpone the maiden voyage” of its newest ship, Disney Adventure–the first Disney Cruise Line vessel to homeport in Asia. Her maiden voyage from Singapore is now scheduled for March 10, 2026. This delay will impact twenty-five sailings of the new ship between December 2025 and March 2026.

In an email, Disney Cruise Line said, “We know many Guests–including you–have been eagerly anticipating the debut of Disney Adventure. This ship represents a bold new chapter for Disney Cruise Line, as we transform a partially built vessel into a fully reimagine Disney experience at sea.”

The email went on to say the cruise line had “encountered unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process” and would be postponing the vessel’s maiden voyage in an effort to make sure Disney Adventure “meets the high standard you expect from Disney.”

Guests who are booked on the original maiden voyage that was to embark on December 15, 2025, are now given the opportunity to sail the new maiden voyage on March 10, 2026, at a 50% discount. Those guests’ reservations are automatically being transferred, and a confirmation will be sent by October 8, 2025. If those guests are unable to sail on the new maiden voyage date, they can request a full refund back to their original form of payment by September 21, 2026. They will still receive the 50% discount on a future cruise that must be booked by March 31, 2026, and taken by March 31, 2027.

Guests scheduled on any other affected cruise will receive a full refund to their original form of payment. They will also receive a 50% discount on a future cruise as soon as they receive confirmation of the cancellation. The future cruise must also be booked by March 31, 2026, and taken by March 31, 2027.
