Disney Cruise Line Debuts New Experiences Aboard Disney Magic

Disney Magic is leaving a 3-week dry dock in Freeport, The Bahamas, with more than the routine painting, deep cleaning and minor refreshing. She also has received enhanced concierge accommodations and exclusive new entertainment.

Whether you’re a fan of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” or you prefer Disney and Pixar’s “Soul” you will be excited to know they are both coming to life for the first time on the high seas. Disney Magic will debut family friendly experiences with “Encanto”-themed entertainment and the addition of a “Soul”-inspired lounge.

Guests can enjoy “An Encanto Celebration” which features the fantastical family Madrigal. The immersive experience will engage young and old alike through music, crafts and storytelling.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Mirabel and (we don’t talk about) Bruno, join in on a sing along, and create bitterly and flower crafts. Guests will also get a taste of South America with a selection of Colombian beers, cocktails and sodas along with film-inspired mocktails.

On Deck 3, guests will find the brand-new Soul Cat Lounge. The lounge is inspired by the heartfelt story of “Soul” and was designed to look like Joe Gardner’s favorite spot from the movie—the Half Note Lounge. Visit the Soul Cat Lounge and you’ll instantly feel transported to a classic New York jazz club complete with decorative brick walls, wood accents and leather seating around a stage to listen to live music.

Adults will also be able to enhance that big city feel with table-side Manhattans and martinis, or native brews and cocktails made with New York spirits. Also on the menu are fun mocktails, specialty coffees and sodas to enjoy while listening to the live music.

The concierge spaces aboard Disney Magic have also been upgraded. The concierge lounge has a new tropical theme which was inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Moana” along with an additional shaded outdoor seating area on deck 10. Guests will be able to relax and sip a beverage of their choice while enjoying the view and the ocean breeze.

All concierge suits have been refurbished and renewed with fresh fixtures, furniture, and elegant artwork further enhancing the concierge guests experience.

Lastly, Disney Magic had shore power technology installed continuing Disney Cruise Line’s commitment to minimize its environmental impact. Shore power technology will allow Disney Magic to “plug in” to a port’s electrical grid when available and reduce the ship’s emissions.
