On Thursday, June 12, 2025, Cunard’s newly refurbished Queen Elizabeth completed her 19-night transpacific voyage and arrived at the Port of Seattle for the first time. She embarked on the first of many highly anticipated Alaskan voyages the same day.
“The Port of Seattle is honored to welcome Cunard and the iconic Queen Elizabeth for their first homeported season in Seattle,” said Port of Seattle Executive Director Steve Metruck. “This partnership marks a major milestone in our work to expand economic activity and to support local jobs through cruise, and we look forward to advancing together our shared vision for sustainability and responsible tourism.”
Queen Elizabeth will sail 7- to 11-night Alaska voyages between June and September 2025. The 11 roundtrip sailings will include ports of call to Ketchikan, Glacier Bay National Park, Skagway, Juneau and Victoria in British Columbia. Guests will enjoy the beautiful Glacier Bay National Park and Hubbard Glacier as well as scenic day viewing of the Inside Passage–the world’s longest sheltered inland waterway.
“Historic grandeur, refined elegance, bespoke experiences and unparalleled personal service are cornerstones of a Cunard voyage,” explained Liz Fettes, Senior Vice President of Commercial for North America at Cunard. “Our view of luxury is rooted in a belief that experiences can be both elegant and relaxed, and our Alaska voyages aboard Queen Elizabeth personifies that spirit.”
Queen Elizabeth’s refresh included revitalized signature spaces and an elevated Princess and Queens Grills Experience. Guests will find more expansive suites, more amenities, butler services and exclusive access to private spaces onboard. Additionally, Michelin-starred chef Michael Roux designed a three-course Gala Evening menu exclusively for Grill Suite guests.
Guests will also be the first to enjoy the upgraded Pavilion Wellness Café–a complimentary dining experience focused on mindful eating. Available as an upgrade are three bespoke Journeys at Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea–a program that offers wellness treatments, smoothies, rejuvenating masterclasses and ELEMIS products.
Guests will find experiences curated to Queen Elizabeth’s Alaska season. Cunard has partnered with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society to offer experts with insight to the region. Guests can also enjoy a “Locals Onboard” series which includes a Tlingit dance group, a Denali expeditionist, local historians, artists and photographers. Cunard will also offer wines from regional wineries.
After her Alaskan summer, Queen Elizabeth will reposition to PortMiami where she will homeport for a season in the Caribbean.
