It’s Monday!
Cruise Ship Monday
Today brings us Celebrity Cruises’ Millennium Class: Celebrity Constellation (2002), Celebrity Summit (2001), Celebrity Infinity (2001), and Celebrity Millennium (2000).
The Millennium Class is the oldest of Celebrity Cruises’ three main classes of ships. The first ship, Celebrity Millennium, was named such because she debuted in 2000, the turn of the millennium. These ships are all now more than 20 years old; however, they have undergone major renovations in recent years, making them appear newer.
The Millenium Class is the smallest of ocean going ships in the fleet accommodating around 2,200 guests and weighing in around 91,000 gross tons. The smaller size of the Millenium Class makes the ships the perfect size to access a wide range of ports and a great choice for cruisers who enjoy a more intimate experience. The smaller size also means the ships have fewer venues than the other ocean going ships.
The Millenium Class of Celebrity ships are the only class with The Rooftop Terrace–an exclusive top-deck lounge. It houses padded loungers and shaded daybeds. Here guests can also enjoy Taste of Film, a multisensory cinematic and culinary experience where plates of food match the film’s theme.
The ships feature a casino, a spa and theater. Dining options venues like the Main Restaurant, Oceanview Café, Tuscan Grill, Sushi on 5 and La Petit Chef. Each ship also has three main pools–two outdoor pools on the Resort Deck and one adults-only Solarium pool. Additionally, each ship is equipped with Starlink high-speed internet.
Celebrity Millennium homeports in Asia and is currently on a 11-day round trip sailing from Singapore. Celebrity Infinity sails in Europe and is currently on a 10-day round trip Best of Greece itinerary from Athens. Celebrity Summit is currently homeporting from Port Everglades and is sailing a roundtrip Key West Bahamas voyage. Celebrity Constellation is also in North America sailing from Tampa on a 7-day Key West Bahamas itinerary.
