Cruise Ship Monday–Celebrity Cruises’ Expediton Ship

It’s Monday!

Cruise Ship Monday

Today brings us Celebrity Cruises’ one and only Expedition ship–Celebrity Flora (2019).

Celebrity Flora is not the typical Celebrity Cruises vessel. With a passenger capacity of 100, she is clearly much smaller than Celebrity’s ocean-going ships. The expedition ship was designed to explore the Galapagos islands where it sails.

While Celebrity Flora does not have the same attractions as a larger ship, her guests are there to experience the region, not spend time onboard. The sailings offer experiences like no other, including snorkeling with sea lions, kayaking with sea turtles, encountering giant tortoises, and more. Guests can enjoy two excursions daily which are guided by Galapagos National Park certified naturalists.

Celebrity Flora does include all-inclusive suite accommodations with unrivaled amenities, which includes two restaurants curated by the cruise line’s Michelin-starred chef. Every space onboard features an innovative outward-facing concept, making the destination the center of attention. Guests will find a laboratory where they can take part in hands-on science lessons, as well as a plunge pool. Additionally, the ship offers deck-top glamping which includes dinner and drinks, a naturalist-guided stargazing session, two sets of cabanas, and a private breakfast.

Celebrity Flora was specifically built with the environment in mind. She has the latest technology making her one of the most eco-friendly ships. She has a Dynamic Positioning System enabling the ship to maintain a specific position without dropping an anchor, which protects the seas. She has solar panels on Deck 7 which boosts the ship’s power supply and reduces emissions. Celebrity Flora also uses reverse osmosis to turn sea water into fresh water to supply all of the ship’s needs.

Celebrity Flora sails 7-day round trip Galapagos Islands itineraries that depart from Baltra Island.
