This Monday, we explored MSC Cruises’ Seaside-classMSC Seaside (2017), MSC Seaview (2018), MSC Seashore (2021), and MSC Seascape (2022). Which have you been on?

Royal Caribbean Group announced it has secured building rights at the Meyer Turku shipyard for the next decade. The same press release stated the company is getting ready for a “new, game-changing class of ship beyond Icon.” No details were released, but lots of speculation is swirling.

Princess Cruises announced that Matthew and Camila McConaughey will serve as godparents of the cruise line’s newest ship, Star Princess, when she is christened in Fort Lauderdale on November 6, 2025. The McCounaugheys are co-founders of Pantalones Organic Tequila which is featured in signature cocktails across the Princess Cruises’ fleet. The tequila is featured in guest favorite 24K Gold Margarita and is part of the Princess’ Love Line Premium Liquors collection. 

Carnival Cruise Line announced Carnival Venezia will move from New York to Miami for the 2027-28 summer season. She will offer “Fun Italian Style” 6- and 8-day Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean voyages giving Carnival guests more choices from the cruise capital of the world.

Holland America Line will be bringing the “splendors of Alaska to New York City” when it debuts a float in the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. The float will display the largest kinetic sculpture in parade history as it celebrates the stunning beauty of Alaska.

Before she sails MSC Cruises’ 2027 World Cruise, MSC Magnifica will undergo an extensive refurbishment. Upgrades will include adding the cruise line’s exclusive MSC Yacht Club. This will be the first World Cruise to feature the ship-within-a-ship luxury experience.
