Let’s dive in!
Princess Cruises announced its 2026 European cruise and cruisetour season will be its biggest with five ships sailing in the region. The season will go on sail on Thursday, May 23, 2024, and its record-break 222 cruises will feature 59 unique itineraries, visiting 101 destinations across 29 countries.
The cruise line also announced a new “Historic America Cruisetour” that will sail between August and October 2025 in celebration of the United States turning 250 on July 4, 2026. The cruisetour is a 14-night journey that begins with a 7-day hosted land tour of various historic sites throughout the nation’s capital, Virginia and Pennsylvania followed by a 7-day roundtrip Canada & New England cruise aboard Enchanted Princess embarking from New York City.
Carnival Corporation has completed the installation of Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency global internet connectivity across its fleet of ships. Whether they want to scroll social media, share pictures and videos with their friends and family, or need to work remotely, Carnival Corporation’s guests and crew will now be able to stay connected anywhere in the world. The corporation’s nine cruise lines will also be able to monitor onboard equipment, share necessary data from ship to shore, and roll out new services and features more effectively while at sea.
MSC Cruises is bringing its largest MSC Yacht Club to North America when MSC World America debuts from PortMiami in April 2025. MSC Yacht Club–one of the ship’s seven districts–is based on the “ship within a ship” concept. Guests can experience a unique experience that offers privacy, personalized service and exclusive venues within the district. The MSC Yacht Club features private spaces like the Top Sail Lounge and the MSC Yacht Club Restaurant, as well as MSC’s premium beverage service, internet and spa access, and priority access to the ship’s entertainment.
The cruise line is also expanding its fleet at Port Canaveral. MSC Grandiosa will join MSC Seashore at the Central Florida port in December 2025. MSC Grandiosa will sail alternating 7-night Western and Eastern Caribbean itineraries, while MSC Seashore will sail 3- to 4-night itineraries with calls at Nassau and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the cruise line’s private island in The Bahamas.
Baltimore is back! Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas and Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Pride will begin sailing again from the Port of Baltimore later this month. Multiple cruise lines temporarily moved their operation to Norfolk, Virginia after a container ship crashed into the Key Bridge causing its collapse in March. Vision of the Seas and Carnival Pride are the first major ships to return to Baltimore and will embark on May 25, 2024 and May 26, 2024 respectively
