This week, on Cruise Ship Monday, we took a look at Celebrity Cruises’ Expedition ShipCelebrity Flora (2019). Have you taken an expedition cruise?

MSC Cruises’ MSC Poesia has a new Alaska-inspired food and beverage menu for its inaugural season in the Last Frontier. Menu items will include halibut tacos with tangy lime cabbage slaw, Alaskan amber-battered cod, a selection of seafood chowders, and locally-sourced salmon. 

Princess Cruises has announced four new North to Alaska experiences for its 2026 Alaska season. The experiences will be featured on all eight Princess ships sailing in the region–Star Princess, Coral Princess, Royal Princess, Ruby Princess, Grand Princess, Emerald Princess, Discovery Princess, and Island Princess–during the cruise line’s “largest Alaska season ever,” which includes 180 departures to 19 destinations.

MSC Cruises is revealing details around its newest flagship, MSC World Asia–specifically around The Harbour and Aqua Deck. The Harbour will be revamped to reflect the theme of the ship and will feature various activities for families. The Aqua Deck will feature two new pool decks–the Manila Bay pool and the Coral Cove pool.

Adults-only cruise line Virgin Voyages has announced its October 2, 2026 The Big Apple to Bermuda voyage has been upgraded to a podcast-focused sailingStuff at Sea. The cruise line has partnered with iHeartMedia to launch On Air at Sea, a specialty sailing collection that will feature live recordings, behind-the-scenes sessions, meet-and-greets with some of iHeart’s best known hosts. 

Norwegian Luna was officially christened on March 27, 2026, inside Norwegian Cruise Line’s LEED Gold Certified terminal at PortMiami. Norwegian Luna departed on her celebratory christening cruise shortly after the ceremony with various executives, journalists, brand partners, and La Lido Loca’s own Tony and Jenny B on board.
