Cruise News Digest – June 4, 2023

Welcome to the weekly Cruise News Digest. Here you can catch up on the past week’s cruise news and all things La Lido Loca.

Let’s dive in.

Last Sunday, Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Pride returned to service after a long dry dock where she received extensive updates and a new signature livery.

On Monday, Carnival Venezia began her inaugural journey from Barcelona Spain to New York.

Norwegian Cruise Line was at the Coca-Cola 600 surprising military families with free cruises. NCL’s Military Appreciation Program partnered with Coca-Cola’s 600 Miles of Remembrance to honor 40 Gold Star Families.

The week also found MSC Cruises taking delivery of its latest ship MSC Euribia, the cruise line’s second ship to be powered by liquified natural gas (LNG). She also is the most energy efficient ship built to date and features the best environmental technology available.

Then came the announcement that Norwegian Cruise Line’s Epic would be sailing from Port Canaveral this winter. She will begin offering 7-day Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries beginning in December 2023.

Yesterday brought us the exciting first ever news that Carnival Cruise Line was naming a godfather for Carnival Venezia. Looks like former late night talk show host and comedian, Jay Leno will be serving up the “Carnival Fun Italian Style” when the ship arrives in New York.
