Seabourn has announced new immersive itineraries for Seabourn Quest in Australia & New Zealand, the South Pacific, Hawaii, and the Panama Canal. 22 distinct itineraries will sail between December 2025 and April 2026 and visit 46 destinations in 13 countries. 

Protestors were back in Amsterdam on August 16 and August 18, 2024. Because of the activist group, Ambassador Cruise Line chose to reroute Ambition to the port of IJmuiden while Royal Caribbean International’s Serenade of the Seas was delayed from entering the IJmuiden locks by several hours. The environmental activists have promised more actions which includes a mass protest on August 31, 2024. 

Disney Cruise Line has revealed more details about its largest-ever-ship–Disney Adventure. Disney Imagination Garden will be the “heart and soul” of the ship. Here the guests will be able to interact with the Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories and characters including the debut of the one-and-only Deadpool. Disney Adventure will begin sailing from Singapore in 2025.

Royal Caribbean International’s Star of the Seas is on the way and guests will be thrilled to find some of their favorites along with some new experiences. Star of the Seas will feature eight neighborhoods like her big sister, Icon of the Seas. One highlight new to Star of the Seas will be a 1930s Chicago-inspired supper club experience, Lincoln Park Supper Club, that will feature multiple dining courses and live entertainment. Star of the Seas will homeport in Port Canaveral, Florida beginning August 2025. 

Ground was broken at the Port of Galveston on August 20, 2024, to begin construction on the port’s fourth cruise terminal. The $151 million cruise complex at Pier 16 will be home to MSC Seascape when it opens in November 2025. Currently, the Port of Galveston is the fourth most popular cruise port in the United States. With the opening of the new cruise terminal, Galveston Wharves port director and CEO, Rodger Rees expects the port to welcome more than 2 million passengers annually by 2026.

Carnival Cruise Line’s President, Christine Duffy, has received yet another recognition. She has been named to the Forbes 50 Over 50 List 2024 [Know Your Value] in the lifestyle category. The fourth annual 50 Over 50 List, which was produced in collaboration with MSNBC host Mika Brzezinksi and her Know Your Value initiative, is a group of 200 women entrepreneurs, investors, inventors, philanthropists, artists, and more that were selected from thousands of nominations across four categories–Lifestyle, Impact, Innovation and Investment.
