Carnival Spirit Repositioning After Dry Dock

Carnival’s Spirit team welcomed guests onboard Carnival Spirit in Barcelona on March 16, 2025, for her first sailing after a month-long dry dock. They will find several upgrades and enhancements onboard as they enjoy the first of two one-way back-to-back cruises.

Her first voyage is a transatlantic journey from Barcelona to Miami. Carnival Spirit has already visited Malaga and Cadiz, Spain, and will visit Ponta Delgada, Portugal and Bermuda before arriving in Miami on March 30, 2025.

During her dry dock, Carnival Spirit was outfitted with a new Heroes Tribute Bar. The venue gives active-duty military and veterans a social space to gather while onboard. Carnival Spirit is the fourteenth Carnival ship to receive the Heroes Tribute Bar.

Lisa McCabe, Carnival’s vice president of refurbishments, said, “The new Heroes Tribute Bar and all the other upgrades to Carnival Spirit are part of our ongoing effort to continually enhance our existing fleet with features we know our guests appreciate and enjoy.”

Other improvements include a refreshed Cloud 9 spa, Fitness Center and retail stores which includes a Carnival Adventures Shop and a Dreams Studio. Carnival Spirit also received a space for Chef’s Table, a new mini golf course, and a refreshed nightclub. The casino received new gaming machines and a new look. Additionally, the youth program spaces were upgraded.

Upon her arrival in Miami, Carnival Spirit will embark on a separate one-way 15-day sailing to Seattle. Not only will she transit the Panama Canal, but Carnival Spirit will also take her guests to Cartagena, Columbia; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. When she arrives in Seattle on April 14, 2025, Carnival Spirit will sail a series of 7-day round trip Alaska Inside Passage Glacier cruises. The itinerary will take guests to Tracy Arm Fjord, Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan, Alaska; and Victoria, Canada.

In September, Carnival Spirit will sail a special 15-day round trip Carnival Journey cruise to Hawaii. In October, she will sail a 15-day one way voyage from Seattle to New Orleans and return to her seasonal homeport in Mobile, Alabama where she will sail a variety of cruises to the Bahamas.
