Carnival Cruise Line plans to reposition Carnival Firenze from Long Beach, California to Miami, Florida in early 2027. Carnival Firenze will sail three distinct, unforgettable Carnival Journeys sailings circumnavigating South America as she heads to Miami, Florida to homeport for a season.
“Carnival Firenze is a beautiful ship and our plan to bring her east creates a perfect opportunity to offer our guests sailings to culture-rich destinations. The South America journeys we’ve opened today truly stand out even among our already impressive lineup of Carnival Journeys cruises that combine our signature fun with spectacular longer itineraries,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
The three Carnival Journeys cruises include a 15-day South America from Long Beach to Santiago, Chile; a 14-day South America from Santiago, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina; and a 16-day South America from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Miami, Florida. Carnival Journeys itineraries are typically longer in nature and include less-visited destinations as well as special onboard activities.
Carnival Firenze will embark from Long Beach on January 4, 2027 and call on ports in four countries–Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, and Chile. The vessel will make a memorable Equator crossing during this journey. Then, on January 19, 2027, she will embark from Santiago, Chile and offer scenic cruising through the Darwin Chanel and Chilean Fjords before she calls on Ushuaia and Puerto Madryn, Argentina and Montevideo, Uruguay. Carnival Firenze will embark from Buenos Aires on February 2, 2027 and make her way to Miami, Florida. She will call on Rio de Janeiro during the world-famous Brazilian Carnival, make a second memorable Equator crossing, and call on Grenada, Martinique and St. Maarten before arriving at her new homeport–Miami, Florida. Guests on this Carnival Journey will have the opportunity to view an annular solar eclipse at sea.
Once Carnival Firenze arrives at the cruise capital of the world–Miami, Florida–she will offer various itineraries between 4- and 13-days throughout the Bahamas, Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean. Some highlights include a four-day Bahamas cruise visiting both of the cruise line’s private destinations–RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay and Celebration Key; 6- and 7-day voyages that will call on Mexico, Honduras, Belize, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. Last, she will offer 10- to 13-day Carnival Journeys to the Southern Caribbean calling on Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, St. Croix, Grenada, Barbados, Antigua and Martinique.
Carnival Firenze will offer her “Fun, Italian Style” from Miami, Florida through May 2027, when she is repositioned to New York for the summer season. Those itineraries have not yet been released.
