Carnival Cruise Line Partners with the New York Jets

Carnival Cruise Line announced a multi-year partnership with the New York Jets, a professional American football team, further strengthening its ties to New York City. The agreement calls Carnival a “Proud Partner of the New York Jets.”

Amy Martin Ziegenfuss, Chief Marketing Officer of Carnival Cruise Line, said, “At Carnival, we create memorable vacation experiences filled with fun for our guests, and we see the excitement from football fans firsthand when their favorite sport is part of that fun – from our ‘sailgate’ parties to our special big game screenings at our Carnival Seaside Theater. This new partnership is a perfect way to create new opportunities to fuel that enthusiasm, since nothing is more fun to football fans than the game itself.”

This partnership is significant and gives Carnival Cruise Line an even greater presence in New York City. Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Venezia began homeporting out of the Manhattan Cruise Terminal earlier this year offering guests an authentic “Carnival Fun Italian Style” experience.

Carnival Cruise Line is known as America’s cruise line and the partnership with the New York Jets aligns the cruise line with the most popular sport in America. Jets fans can expect to see Carnival stadium signage, a strategic presence digitally and socially through advertising on the Jets’ official website and the Jets Fan Network. While not many details have been revealed about deals included in this partnership, it will feature a sweepstakes later this season giving lucky fans a chance to win a Carnival cruise.

Carnival Cruise Line is not the first in the cruise industry to partner with a sports team or event. MSC Cruises has partnerships with both Formula 1 and the Miami Dolphins, Royal Caribbean has a partnership with Inter Miami Football Club, Holland America Line has a partnership with the Professional Pickleball Association, and Norwegian Cruise Line has a partnership with the Miami Marlins. Carnival Cruise Line may have the most fun sports partnership in their CFO–Chief Fun Officer–former NBA player, Shaquille O’Neal.
