Carnival Cruise Line is introducing “new” dining options to Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter. The “new” venues are guest favorites Fahrenheit 555 and Bonsai Sushi Express.
Beginning May 4, 2026, guests aboard all four ships that homeport in Australia–Carnival Adventure, Carnival Encounter, Carnival Luminosa, and Carnival Splendor–will have the option to dine at the cruise line’s signature premium steakhouse, Fahrenheit 555. The steakhouse is named for the “sizzling temperature used to sear its premium cuts.” The menu features premium cuts of beef, a standout selection of seafood, other main dishes, appetizers, and an extensive wine list, all served to the customer’s satisfaction. Replacing Luke’s Bar and Grill on both ships, Fahrenheit 555 is elevated dining–Carnival-style.
Carnival cruisers aboard Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter can also experience Bonsai Sushi Express. With the recent opening of the Japanese-inspired venue, guests can enjoy made-to-order sushi, sashimi, ramen, rolls, salads, poke bowls, and desserts.
“We are delighted to be bringing Fahrenheit 555 to all of our Australia-based ships, so guests can experience Carnival’s signature premium experience no matter where or when they sail with us,” said Anton Loeb, Carnival Cruise Line Assistant Vice President Sales & Marketing. “As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue introducing fresh ways for guests to enjoy exceptional offerings onboard.”
Carnival also announced that a new specialty burger venue, Carnival Topside Grill, will replace Luke’s Burgers, with more details coming. This move to introduce Carnival’s own dining venues follows a successful partnership between Australian chef Luke Mangan and the retired P&O Cruises Australia brand.
Carnival Splendor and Carnival Adventure both sail year-round from Sydney, while Carnival Encounter sails year-round from Brisbane. Rounding out the four “fun ships” in Australia, Carnival Luminosa sails seasonally from Brisbane.
