Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady kicked off her MerMaiden voyage from the Pacific Coast on April 7, 2026. She arrived at the Port of Los Angeles on April 6, 2026, after completing her Panama Canal transit from Miami. This marks the first time the cruise line has crossed the Panama Canal and has homeported from the Port of Los Angeles.
“Virgin Voyages brings a fresh, contemporary cruise product to Los Angeles, and we’re proud to welcome them as a new homeport partner,” Port of Los Angeles Executive Director Gene Seroka said. “With these well-crafted itineraries, passengers can make the most of their time exploring destinations along the Pacific Coast and beyond.”
Brilliant Lady began her inaugural tour in Portsmouth, UK in August 2025, sailed to New York in September, and then PortMiami in October. Brilliant Lady’s “MerMaiden” voyage from the Port of Los Angeles is a five-night roundtrip sailing to Santa Barbara, San Diego and Ensenada.
The adults-only cruise line will offer 6- to 8-night sailings to various ports in California and Mexico through May 3. She will reposition to Vancouver and then Seattle for the cruise line’s inaugural Alaska season.
Brilliant Lady will sail 7- to 12-day voyages from Seattle to destinations in Alaska on May 21, 2026. She will remain in Alaska through the end of August, and return to Los Angeles in September to sail 5- to 7-night voyages including two Halloween Cruises. In October, she will sail a 17-night Panama Canal repositioning cruise back to PortMiami.
Built with the West Coast in mind, Brilliant Lady features expanded wellness programming including Radiance, a sunrise experience at the Aquatic Club. Guests can also enjoy eight themed Vibe Rides cycling classes as well as high protein and recovery drinks at an expanded Juice Sea.
