Crystal Serenity to Enter Drydock in October

Crystal announced that Crystal Serenity will enter a 3-week drydock in October for a refurbishment. The updates will focus on the Aquamarine Classic Suites’ living area and bathrooms on deck 10, bringing it in line with the design style introduced during the ship’s transformation in 2023. The corridors on deck 10 will also receive new carpet and wallpaper.

Several public spaces will also be updated including:

  • New Pool Bar–located on Deck 12 mid-ship will allow cruisers to enjoy refreshments without every leaving the Seahorse Pool area, which will also have new furniture
  • Atrium and Crystal Cove–the ship’s central gathering space will receive a new marble dance floor, new entertainment stage, and a De Castelli mosaic. The reception area will receive a new desk, marble top and backlit panel, while the surrounding walls and columns will receive new wallpaper and mosaic details as well
  • Waterside Restaurant–waiter stations will be renovated and chairs will be reupholstered
  • Stardust Club–this venue will receive new tables and chandeliers
  • Marketplace–this casual but popular breakfast and lunch venue will also receive reupholstered chairs

“Following the successful dry dock of Crystal Symphony, our work aboard Crystal Serenity is guided first and foremost by the guest experience,” said Bernie Leypold, SVP hotel operations for Crystal. “These enhancements underscore our commitment to creating meaningful, memorable experiences for our guests at every touchpoint, while ensuring that Crystal Serenity continues to feel as welcoming and enriching as the journeys themselves.”

Additionally, Crystal Serenity will undergo technical upgrades optimizing performance and efficiency. The propulsion system will be upgraded to enhance fuel efficiency and reliability, while the mechanical fin stabilizers will be updated to make the ship more responsive. The ship’s hull will be cleaned and repainted, and new sound and entertainment systems will be installed.

Crystal Serenity is expected to return to service November 8, 2026, sailing a 15-day Transatlantic voyage from Lisbon, Portugal, to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she will sail a Caribbean season.
