Holland America Line Opens 2027-28 Bookings for Refurbished Oosterdam

Holland America Line has opened bookings for Oosterdam’s debut following her major refurbishment as the inaugural ship to undergo Holland America Evolution, which is considered the largest fleet investment in the cruise line’s 153-year history. Following her drydock, Oosterdam will offer eight itineraries and 15 departure dates across Europe, the Caribbean and North America.

This modernization is expected to bring what guests love most about the cruise line’s Pinnacle class ships to more of its fleet. Oosterdam will offer new stateroom and suite categories including Solo Verandahs giving solo travelers a private balcony and dedicated workspace. Guests looking for premium accommodations can choose from the new Bridgeview Suites that feature panoramic windows with amazing ocean views and expansive living space. Guests can also choose from Vista Suites, which are debuting on Oosterdam, and the reimagine Pinnacle Suite.

“We’re all excited about what Holland America Evolution represents for our fleet and for our guests,” said Michael Stendebach, senior vice president of food, beverage and rooms division for Holland America Line. “We can’t wait to welcome guests aboard the elevated Oosterdam through these new voyages, where they’ll be among the first to experience what this transformation brings. From the first step on board, guests will feel a more refined and thoughtfully designed experience, with new spaces like the Grand Dutch Café providing a sense of comfort and welcome as their vacation begins.”

Oosterdam will also introduce Grand Dutch Café, a European-inspired coffee shop that is one of the cruise line’s most popular venues and rooted in Holland America Line’s Dutch heritage. Grand Dutch Café offers an all-day gathering space for coffee and pastries reminiscent of the cafés across Amsterdam and Northern Europe.

Oosterdam is expected to return to service December 2, 2027, sailing a 7-day Western Mediterranean voyage from Barcelona, Spain, visiting Valencia and Malagia, Spain; LIsbon, Portugal; and Tangier, Morocco. She will then sail a 13-day transatlantic voyage to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she will spend the 2027-28 season. She will sail a mix of 9- and 12-night itineraries to the Southern Caribbean and the ABC Islands.

In the spring of 2028, Oosterdam will transit the Panama Canal in order to reposition north to the Pacific Coast. The itinerary includes port stops throughout Central America and Mexico, as well as scenic sailing along the West Coast before arriving in the Pacific Northwest.
