Major cruise lines are cancelling all scheduled 2026 Alaska cruises and excursions into Tracy Arm Fjord citing unstable “geological conditions.” The decision is being made due to a massive landslide that transpired in August 2025 near South Sawyer Glacier in Tracy Arm, which triggered a tsunami.

Carnival Cruise Line is hosting its second annual Summer Fun-ternship Program giving more than 100 high school juniors and seniors, ages 17 and older, an incredible hands-on experience in cruise terminal management at six United States homeports. 

Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady kicked off her MerMaiden voyage from the Pacific Coast on April 7, 2026. She arrived at the Port of Los Angeles on April 6, 2026, after completing her Panama Canal transit from Miami. This marks the first time the cruise line has crossed the Panama Canal and has homeported from the Port of Los Angeles.

In a recent social media post, Carnival Cruise Line’s Brand Ambassador, John Heald, highlighted the menu from Carnival Liberty’s lunch spot on Deck 10–Chicken, Waffles & Waves. The space offers southern comfort foods, like fried chicken and BBQ favorites.

MSC Group announced one of its subsidiaries, CTL Maritime, has reached an agreement with the Bahamian government to acquire and develop a portion of the Grand Lucayan Resort into a beach club.

Royal Caribbean is making major deployment changes to its Port of Galveston lineup beginning in 2027. The cruise line will shift Symphony of the Seas from Galveston to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she will offer 6- and 8-night Caribbean cruises.
