In a recent social media post, Carnival Cruise Line’s Brand Ambassador, John Heald, highlighted the menu from Carnival Liberty’s lunch spot on Deck 10–Chicken, Waffles & Waves. The space offers southern comfort foods, like fried chicken and BBQ favorites.
In his social media post, Heald said, “We are testing some new food options, some very very exciting new food options on different ships.”
Some guests are saying the menu is a mashup of Guy’s Pig & Anchor BBQ and Shaq’s Big Chicken. It has also been noted the ships that are featuring the new venue do not have either of these restaurants onboard. Chicken, Waffles & Waves and can be found where the “Ol Fashioned BBQ” was located, and its menu is divided into two main sections–Chicken and BBQ Delight.
On the chicken side of the menu, guests can choose classic, spicy and hot honey glazed fried chicken, a crispy chicken burger served on a soft bun with pickles, tangy mayo, and lettuce, and saucy chicken tenders served plain or with a choice of buffalo or sticky Korean sauce. Guests can also choose a side of fluffy waffles which are “perfect as a side with any chicken dish.”
On the BBQ Delight side of the menu guests can choose either Slow Cooked Pork Butt or BBQ Beef Brisket. Both are gluten-free and guests can choose from an array of sauces to season their meat to their personal tastes.
The venue also offers “& More” options of Creamy Coleslaw, Mac and Cheese, and Potato Bacon Salad.
Chicken, Waffles, and Waves is a complimentary option that is “hidden” on deck 10 above the Lido buffet. Its hours are similar to those of the buffet and includes plenty of seating. While the media post mentions Carnival Liberty, it can also be found aboard Carnival Conquest and Carnival Glory.
