Disney Cruise Line Reveals Name of Next Wish Class Ship

Disney Cruise Line announced the name and design theme of its next Wish class ship. Wednesday, March 18, 2026 the cruise line’s new CEO, Josh D’Amaro, on his very first day at the helm of the company, made the announcement at the 2026 Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholders Meeting.

D’Amaro said on the shareholder call, “We continue to expand our award-winning Disney Cruise Line fleet. I was just in Singapore for the launch of the Disney Adventure, which is our very first ship based in Asia. It is stunning, and I’m so excited for our guests to experience it. We have five more ships on the way, and today I’m excited to announce the name of our ninth ship, the Disney Believe.”

The name, Disney Believe, was chosen to “honor the dreamers and doers who dare to pursue their own happily ever after.” She will debut in 2027, but dates, details around voyages, and her homeport were not included in the announcement.

Following in her sister’s footsteps–the enchantment-themed Disney Wish, adventure-themed Disney Treasure, and heroes and villains-themed Disney Destiny–Disney Believe will tell her own story of “promise and possibilities.”

Disney Believe will bring to life the stories of those Disney characters who “believe in themselves, in their dreams, and the promise and possibility of a better tomorrow.” The powerful and magical stories of “Encanto,” “Frozen,” “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Moana,” and “The Little Mermaid” will be brought to life like never before. And, while we do not know all the details of what stateroom decor, characters, dining experiences, shows, or even the stern characters will be, we do know that it will be a magical, one-of-a-kind experience like only Disney can do.

By 2031, Disney Cruise Line expects its fleet number to be at 13, which includes a brand-new class of ships and Japan’s first Disney cruise ship to debut in 2029.
