This week, we explored the first class of Princess Cruises’ fleet, the Coral-class, which includes Island Princess (2003) and Coral Princess (2002).

On Monday, January 26, 2026, MSC Group’s Cruise Division inaugurated its new North American Cruise Division headquarters in downtown Miami, Florida, further solidifying its commitment to the region. The 130,000-square-foot office occupies the entire seventh floor at Block 55 at Sawyer’s Walk.

To celebrate National Moose Day, Holland America Line announced a new exclusive Alaska shore excursion–a behind-the-scenes visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC). The Exclusive Eland & Friends Moose Discovery Tour was developed in collaboration with AWCC and will debut during the 2026 Alaska cruise season.

Princess Cruises recently announced it has added two specialty dining venues to Diamond Princess–Makoto Ocean and Crown Grill. Both venues are priced at $55 per person and are included with the Princess Premier package. The Japan-built Diamond Princess is currently sailing roundtrip from Singapore.

Celebrity River Cruises has announced a commitment for 10 more ships, giving the European river cruise fleet 20 vessels by 2031. Celebrity also revealed the names of three new ships that will join the fleet in 2028–Celebrity Wanderer, Celebrity Roamer, and Celebrity Boundless

Royal Caribbean Group announced a series of agreements with the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, to construct a new class of ships–the Discovery Class. While there has been much public speculation about the Discovery Class ships–especially about their size–the announcement gave no further details about the vessels.
