NCL Announced 2027-2028 Winter Deployment and Brings Free at Sea Plus Package Back

Norwegian Cruise Line announced its winter 2027-2028 deployment which encompasses more than 370 voyages across the Caribbean, the Bahamas, the Mexican Riviera, Asia, Australia and New Zealand AND the guest-favorite Free at Sea Plus package is back!

Plus, many of our Bahamas and Caribbean itineraries will visit our exclusive private island destination, Great Stirrup Cay, which will feature a new pier, an oversized heated pool, and the Great Tides Waterpark. And with the return of Free at Sea Plus, guests will enjoy even greater value and convenience, making it easier than ever to relax and focus on what truly matters – reconnecting with those who matter most.”

For the first time in cruise line history, two NCL ships will homeport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva will sail to the Southern Caribbean, with each offering its own distinct 7-day itinerary. Norwegian Prima will sail in the region from November 13, 2027 through April 22, 2028, while Norwegian Viva will sail in the region between November 14, 2027 and January 23, 2028.

Seven Norwegian Cruise Line ships will sail from homeports across Florida to destinations in the Bahamas, the Caribbean and the Panama Canal. Many of these itineraries will also call on the cruise line’s private destination, Great Stirrup Cay, in the Bahamas. Great Stirrup Cay’s current upgrades and enhancements include a brand new waterpark, Great Tides Waterpark, that is scheduled to open in 2026.

Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Jewel and Norwegian Luna will sail from “the Cruise Capital of the World,” Miami, Florida. From November 2027 to April 2028, Norwegian Joy will offer 3- to 4- day Bahamas escapes, while Norwegian Jewel will offer 10- to 11- day itineraries to the Southern Caribbean and Panama Canal from November 2027 to January 2028. Norwegian Luna will sail the Eastern Caribbean from October 2028 through April 2028, offering 7-day voyages that include a stop at Great Stirrup Cay.

Norwegian Aqua, Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Epic will all sail from Port Canaveral, Florida. Norwegian Aqua will sail 7-day Western Caribbean cruises between October 2027 and April 2028 that will embark every Sunday. From November 2027 through March 2028, Norwegian Breakaway will sail 4- to 5-day Bahamas and Caribbean voyages, while Norwegian Epic will sail 7-day Eastern Caribbean voyages departing every Friday.

Norwegian Dawn will return to Jacksonville, Florida in November 2027 for her second season from the port. She will sail 4- and 5-day itineraries to the Bahamas that will call on Freeport, Nassau as well as Great Stirrup Cay through April 2028.

Norwegian Pearl will sail 5- to 12-day itineraries to Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Eastern and Southern Caribbean from the Port of Philadelphia from October 2027 through April 2028. Her sailings to Bermuda will include overnight stays at the Royal Naval Dockyard. The Port of Philadelphia is expected to restart cruise operations in April 2026.

Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Getaway will sail Western Caribbean itineraries from Galveston, Texas, and New Orleans respectively. Between November 2027 and April 2028, both ships will offer 7-day itineraries with Norwegian Escape departing every Saturday, and Norwegian Getaway departing every Sunday.

The Port of Los Angeles will be home to Norwegian Encore as she sails 7-day Mexican Riviera voyages between October 2027 and April 2028. She will depart every Sunday. During the same time, Norwegian Jade will be offering 9- to 14-day sailings from homeports through Japan and Southeast Asia.

Norwegian Spirit is returning to Australia and New Zealand for her fifth consecutive season. Between December 2027 and April 2028, guests can sail 8- to 21-day itineraries from Sydney, Australia; Auckland, New Zealand; or Singapore. This season includes NCL’s debut in Esperance and overnight stays in Fremantle, Melbourne and Adelaide.

Lastly, NCL began offering the returning Free at Sea Plus package on December 18, 2025 with prices starting at $49.99 per person per day for sailings beginning February 1, 2026. The enhanced amenities include unlimited Starbucks drinks and unlimited streaming Wi-Fi. Also included are premium and additional beverage options like top-shelf spirits, which includes Patrón Añejo and the Macallan 12 YO, and wines and champagne by the glass from the cruise line’s signature collection. Guests will also receive bottled water, energy drinks and fresh juices, and 50% discounts on specialty dining cover charges.
