Cruise Ship Monday–Disney Cruise Line Wish Class

It’s Cruise Ship Monday!

Today brings us Disney Cruise Line’s Wish Class–Disney Wish (2022); Disney Treasure (2024); Disney Destiny (2025); as well as two more still unnamed ships coming in 2027 and 2029.

When Disney Wish debuted in 2022, after two delays, she was the fleet’s first ship to be powered by liquified natural gas (LNG). Weighing in at 144,000 tons she is slightly larger than the cruise line’s Dream Class ships. Disney Wish and the entire Wish Class also feature AquaMouse, a 760-foot long water slide featuring special effects and animated shorts with the storyline varying on the ships.

When Disney Wish was christened on June 29, 2022, Disney Cruise Line broke from maritime tradition by naming Make-a-Wish Children as godchildren of the vessel rather than a single individual as its godmother. Disney Wish’s bow features Captain Mickey surrounded by the cruise line’s iconic filigree scrollwork while her aft features Rapunzel and Pascal making finishing touches to the paint.

Disney Treasure was christened on November 19, 2024 in New York. Her godparents are the Walt Disney Company cast, crew, Imagineers and employees around the world. Voyager Minnie can be found on the bow of Disney Treasure, while the aft features Captain Hook covered in paint and Peter Pan looking like the guilty party.

While a date and place have not yet been announced, Disney Destiny will be christened and debut later this month. In fitting with the vessel’s “Heroes and Villains” theme, Disney Destiny’s bow features Minnie Mouse in a heroic pose sporting a hero’s cape. For the first time in Disney Cruise Line history, a Marvel Super Hero will grace the aft of the ship. Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots are finishing the filigree on the back of the ship.

Like other Disney ships, the Wish Class features three main dining rooms that guests and staff rotate through. They each feature 1923, an elegant restaurant named after the year Walt Disney Company was founded, and Worlds of Marvel, an interactive dining experience where guests take part in an Avenger mission.

The third dining room is different on each ship. Disney Wish features Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure which offers a Norwegian menu and a live show featuring characters from Frozen. Disney Treasure features Plaza de Coco which has a Mexican-inspired menu and a Coco-themed show. Disney Destiny is home to Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King featuring African inspired cuisine and decor and performances of songs from the movie it is named for.

Each ship features Marceline Market as the main casual buffet, and Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods which is six individual venues of quick food options from pizza to burritos and tacos to burgers and ice cream. Each ship features multiple signature dining venues, with Palo being an adults-only venue found on each ship.

Entertainment aboard each vessel is unique. Signature stage shows are held in the beautiful Walt Disney Theatre. Guests can watch first-run and classic Disney movies in either the Wonderland or Never Land Cinema, or outdoors on Funnel Vision. Additionally, character meet-and-greets, performances, trivia and other activities are held around the ship.

Each Wish Class ship is home to the “it’s a small world” group babysitting center for children 6 months to 3 years of age. There is a per hour charge with a minimum of one hour. The Oceaneer Club (ages 3-12) which features a Marvel Super Hero Academy. Both ships also feature The Edge experience for guests ages 11 to 14, and the Vibe for guests ages 14 to 17. The venues are a great space for tweens and teens to hangout and connect with others worldwide.

Additionally, the ships feature miniature golf, virtual sports simulators, sports courts, ping pong, foosball tables and a walking track. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is designed for children 3-12 where they can be transformed into a Princess or Royal Knight. Pirate night also brings pirate makeovers.

Disney Wish is embarking on a 4-day Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida. She will offer Very Merrytime Bahamian Cruises from the port through the holidays. She will continue to offer alternating 3- or 4-day round-trip Bahamian Cruises from Port Canaveral for the foreseeable future.

Disney Treasure also homeports from Port Canaveral is currently sailing a 7-day Western Caribbean Cruise. She will sail alternating 7-day Eastern and Western Very Merrytime Caribbean cruises through the holidays and then return to her regular 7-day alternating itineraries.

Disney Destiny will begin homeporting from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida when she debuts later this month. She will sail a 4-day Maiden Voyage on November 20, 2025. She will then offer 4- or 5-day Bahamian Cruises from the port.
